In short
- Email [email protected] and we'll delete your Hostly account.
- If you're the account owner, we can delete your whole organization and every record in it.
- Deleted data is removed from our active systems; brief backup copies are purged within 30 days.
Hostly (by Mintybits) is a front-desk app for guest houses. Accounts are created and managed by the account owner. You can ask us to delete your account and its data at any time, by following the steps below.
How to request deletion
- Email us at [email protected] from the email address on your Hostly account. If you sign in with a username, include your username and your organization's name so we can find the account.
- Use the subject line “Delete my Hostly account”.
- Tell us what to remove: just your own user, or — if you are the account owner / admin — the entire organization and all of its data.
- We'll confirm it's really you, complete the deletion, and email you when it's done — normally within a few business days.
What gets deleted
When we delete your user, we remove your Hostly profile and your sign-in credentials.
When the account owner asks us to delete the whole organization, we permanently remove every record in it, including:
- Your guest houses and rooms
- Stays and guest details — names, phone numbers and any ID numbers you recorded
- Payments, refunds and all cash-flow entries
- Inventory items and counts
- Time logs
- All uploaded photos — receipts and work photos
What may be kept, and for how long
- Active systems: your data is removed as soon as we action the request.
- Backups: copies may remain in our routine encrypted backups until they rotate — no longer than 30 days — after which they are permanently overwritten.
- No aggregate copy: we do not keep an anonymized or aggregated copy of your data.
One thing to note: if you run a guest house, you may have your own legal or tax obligations to keep certain guest or financial records. Those obligations are yours to meet and sit outside Hostly — so please export anything you need before asking us to delete it.
